The holidays are almost finished and school preparation has begun. It has been a fun holiday and I have done many things. But there is one thing I'd like to highlight, a new board game that I recently got.
The game board set up.
The aim of this game is to sail around the board with your two ships, completing various projects and trying to earn as much money as possible. At the end of the game, all players count up their money and whoever has the most wins! The way to work on projects however, is purchasing "oil barrels" and using one on each turn to complete the projects. The oil price varies within the game. But there is one "enemy" to all players, the "storm". When any given player rolls a six on the dice, they can move the storm away, or to another player's project. The storm stops your project until 3 turns are up, or you roll a six, whichever comes first.
I feel that this is a really fun game that makes you think and manage your money wisely. However, it can be really frustrating when the game finishes and you still have money in the uncompleted projects!
